Gingernut Biscuits



Delicious biscuits to share with loved ones.
Ingredients:
250g Stork Bake
2 eggs
250ml (1 cup) golden syrup
500ml (2 cups) brown sugar
750g cake flour
30ml (2 tbsp) ground ginger
10ml (2 tsp) bicarbonate of soda
5ml (1 tsp) salt
75ml (5 tbsp) milk
Method:
  1. Melt the Stork Bake and stir in the golden syrup. Allow to cool. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  2. Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into the golden syrup mixture alternately with the milk. Allow the dough to chill in the refrigerator until firm enough to shape.
  3. Roll out and cut into shapes, or shape into small balls and press with a fork. Place 70mm apart on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake in a moderately hot oven (190ºC) for approximately 10 minutes.
